Ⅳ、Academic Part-time Roles & Student Guidance Outcomes

     Since 1996 when Dr. Tom K. Hei was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Hefei, he has held many honorary appointments both inside and outside of the U.S. He was the Distinguished Visiting Scientist at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences in Chiba, Japan (2008-2015). As an Adjunct Professor of Radiation Medicine and Public Health of Soochow University (2007 onward). Educationally, Dr. Hei was elected Educator of the Year by the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology in 2008. Dr. Hei was the past president of the U.S. Radiation Research Society and has many years of experience in mentoring doctoral, medical, clinical radiation oncology residents and postdoctoral research fellows, many of whom are now leaders in their own fields around the world.
