Fenju Liu, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, formerly served as Director of the Teaching and Research Section of Radiobiology and was honored with the title of "Soochow University Distinguished Teaching Professor." She has long been a lead instructor for courses such as Medical Radiobiology, Radiation Injury and Protection, and Advances in Radiation Medicine. She has presided over and participated in multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. Her primary research focuses include the effects of ionizing radiation on lymphocytes and their subsets, immune regulation mechanisms in human tumors, radiation resistance-related genes in glioblastoma, and radiosensitization strategies. She has published over 100 papers in internationally renowned journals, served as chief editor of one textbook and associate editor of one monograph, and holds 7 national invention patents and 1 international invention patent. Her research achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress from the Jiangsu Provincial Office of National Defense Science, Technology and Industry (1999), the Jiangsu Provincial Scientific and Technological Achievement Appraisal (2004), the Third Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress from Suzhou City, as well as single instances of the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress from the Chinese Medical Association, the Third Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and three Third Prizes of Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Nuclear Industry.
